Basing Singers are getting together with Ooh Mama ladies choir and Steventon Singers, as well as singers from other choirs around Basingstoke, to put on a concert of Music From Stage and Screen in Queen Mary’s Hall, Queen Mary’s College, on 17 September.
The 70-strong choirs will be accompanied by the Heritage Light Orchestra and the programme includes much-loved pieces from Les Miserable and West Side Story, as well as music from Lord Of The Rings, The Greatest Showman and more.
This promises to be a wonderful evening of popular music, which is in aid of St Michael’s Hospice. We are grateful for financial support from Basingstoke Festival of Choirs, which is helping us to give as much we can to the Hospice.
The concert starts at 7pm and tickets are £10 adult and £1 for accompanied children. Tickets are available from any of the choir members; on the door; via mike.leaming@gmail.com ; or 01256 471493.
