Basingstoke Choral Society is an amateur choir and a registered charity.

We have come a long way since it began – possibly as long ago as 1889 – but our aims vary little from those initiated when the Society first came into being. The choir remains strong, with around 140 committed members, a hard working chairman and committee, our accompanist and Assistant Musical Director, Mark Kinkaid, and our fantastic Musical Director, David Gibson.

Our Concerts

Basingstoke Choral Society - Mozart Requiem

Mozart’s magnificent Requiem is a work shrouded in mystery. Beset by ill-health in the summer of 1791, Mozart was visited by a ‘mysterious man in grey’ who commissioned the work on the condition of utmost secrecy.
The concert also features I Sing and Ever Shall, an exciting choral work by the award-winning British composer Janet Wheeler.
When: Sat April 6 7:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Where: The Anvil, Basingstoke
